Durante el siglo XVIII, se construyeron capillas de estilo barroco sobre estos portales, fusionando as\u00ed su funci\u00f3n original defensiva con una nueva funci\u00f3n religiosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el caso de Fuentespalda, la muralla medieval que rodeaba la villa contaba con cuatro portales de acceso, de los cuales se conservan este y el portal y la capilla de San Francisco. Los otros dos portales han desaparecido, y uno de ellos probablemente albergaba la capilla de la Virgen del Carmen, que ahora se encuentra en una pared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/app.siketing.com\/fuentespalda\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2023\/10\/San-Antonio.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/app.siketing.com\/fuentespalda\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2023\/10\/San-Antonio.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:400px\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El portal se abre con dos arcos de medio punto, y en 1789 se construy\u00f3 una capilla dedicada a San Antonio de Padua sobre \u00e9l.
