Originalmente, su funci\u00f3n era servir como sede para la recaudaci\u00f3n de impuestos y pertenec\u00eda, al igual que el castillo, al arzobispo de Zaragoza. Esta conexi\u00f3n con el castillo result\u00f3 en algunas peculiaridades arquitect\u00f3nicas, como la planta baja adosada a la monta\u00f1a y la presencia de un t\u00fanel de comunicaci\u00f3n, posiblemente secreto, que llevaba hasta el castillo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Sigue leyendo<\/summary>\n<p>Dentro del mismo edificio que albergaba el &#8220;Palau&#8221;, aunque probablemente en una secci\u00f3n diferenciada, se encontraba el antiguo hospital. Este hospital era una especie de albergue para los necesitados y pertenec\u00eda a la iglesia. Oper\u00f3 en estas dependencias desde el siglo XVI hasta el siglo XIX, cuando, debido a la desamortizaci\u00f3n, pas\u00f3 a ser propiedad del Ayuntamiento y gradualmente perdi\u00f3 su funci\u00f3n original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lo largo del siglo XX, el edificio alberg\u00f3 las escuelas municipales durante varias d\u00e9cadas y m\u00e1s tarde se utiliz\u00f3 como almac\u00e9n municipal.
